Overview:
The Bhrigu Lake Trek is a popular trekking route in the Indian state of Himachal Pradesh. The trek is named after the famous sage Bhrigu, who is believed to have meditated near the lake. The Bhrigu Lake Trek offers a perfect blend of adventure and scenic beauty, with stunning views of the snow-covered Himalayan peaks, beautiful meadows, and dense forests.
The trek starts from the beautiful village of Gulaba, which is located about 22 km from Manali. The trail takes you through lush green forests of oak, pine and cedar, and you will also get to see a few beautiful waterfalls on the way. The highest point of the trek is the Bhrigu Lake, which is located at an altitude of 14,000 feet above sea level.
The Bhrigu Lake Trek is considered to be a moderate trek, and can be completed in 3-4 days. The trek is suitable for beginners and experienced trekkers alike, as it doesn’t involve any technical climbing or steep ascents. However, it is important to be physically fit and mentally prepared for the trek.
